THE BATH EIGHTS ON 5th SEPTEMBER 2009 IS NOW FULLY BOOKED. THE RESERVE LIST SYSTEM WILL BE USED IN CASE OF DROP OUTS. The Bath Eights is the UK's largest short format tournament, it's open to any club team in the world. And it's played in the Centre of the World Heritage City of Bath. Held on the first or second weekend in September it is now a social curtain raiser for the forthcoming English season many of the competing clubs use the event to 'warm up' and 'team build', this normally involves staying over night. With the addition of the Sunday mixed tournament in 2003 the clubs with Ladies teams stay for the whole weekend. The 24nd tournament for 2009 on September the 5th was already fully booked 5 months in advance. Although there may be no places on paper, sometimes there are one or two cancellations so Bath Lacrosse Club runs a reserve list. Clubs in the 2008 tournament are: Bath Team Bramhall Brooklands Coffin Dodgers Croydon East Grinstead Edinburgh Cougars Bath Exiles Glasgow Hampstead Heaton Mersey Hillcroft Hitchin Manchester Waconians Mellor Nottingham Oldham Penarth Portsmouth University Reading Wildcats Rochdale Sheffield Steelers Sheffield University Southampton University Spencer Stockport Swansea Hawks Timperley Tri-Services Walcountian Blues Welwyn Wilmslow
